Adult centipedes hide in moist, dark and in captivity during the winter. They keep there eggs in dampened soil during summer or spring to keep them warm and safe. As centipedes become adults, they grow a complete set of legs and extra parts in there body. Most centipedes live for more than a year and some up to six years.
